the entire stretch of coast between Portoferraio and the Capo d'Enfola is the area of famous Spiagge Bianche (White Beaches) of the Elba, this is a wonderful stretch of coastline where cliffs alternate with small but picturesque beaches, mostly white pebble, with a sea of beautiful colors.   

Gulf of Viticcio

marvellous bay with white sand botoom. Good holding ground for anchorage. Offers shelter to wind from the 1st and 2nd quadrants. open to winds from 4th quadrant. It is suggested to anchor in 6 to 8 meters water in front of the small village at the bottom side of the bay

Gulf of Biodola

biodola is one of the most famous beaches on the Island of Elba; one perfect combination of sea, beach and nature.. The crystal clear water, that goes from cobalt blue to emerald green, is shallow till quite far out. The beach is perfect for families with small children.

Gulf of Procchio

the beach of Procchio, about 850 meters long consists of clear sand, is one of the most famous beaches of the island, with all the tourist facilities required for a comfortable stay. With its crystal clear water, the beach is perfect for families with small children.

Marciana Marina

one of the most picturesque villages of the island, is framed like a precious jewel among the rocky cliffs. On one side you find the old harbou and on the other side the small touristical harbour protected by one ancient Tower. The harbour is dominated by beautiful fortified medicean tower.


is the queen of beaches on the Island of Elba, a precious gem set in nature, a sea bed with many different species of fish easily seen even with only mask and flippers. Marina di Campo

has the longest sand beach (1,850 meters) on the Island of Elba; it slopes gently into the water, with several shallows, making it the preferred beach for families with children.It faces the Marina di Campo Gulf, at the centre of the southern coast of Elba, with the Island of Montecristo on the horizon.

Gulf of Lacona

is the longest beach on the Island of Elba after Marina di Campo. This beach is very popular among teenagers as well as families with small children. The name of the beach probably comes from the Latin word “lacuna”, dating back to the marshlands that Napoleon had cleaned up during his exile on the island.

Porto Azzurro

in a protected bay of the golf of ‘Mola’, which was used since ever as a natural port of call on the nautic routs of the Tyrrhenian Sea. In the beginning of the 16th. century, it was the Spaniards, who, under the recomandation of the admiral Andrea Doria, planned to build a fortification on the eastern side of the gulf.

Rio Marina

Rio Marina offers the most 'wide choice of beaches on the island of Elba. The eastern side and 'the heart of the mining on the island of Elba and the beaches here are for the prevalence consist of a characteristic fine sand and bright, while the south coast, with cliffs along the sea and beautiful bays, often accessible only by sea.


is a beach with a sandy beach that goes as far as Capo Castello, where there are the remains of a Roman villa from the first century AD. The small port is the nearest place to the mainland, and has water and fuel facilities for pleasure boats. In 1849, Giuseppe Garibaldi stopped there on his way to the Island of Caprera.

Portoferraio & Elba Island (Tuscany)

Elba is the largest of the islands in the so-called Tuscan archipelago of Italy and the third largest overall after Sicily and Sardinia. The north-east tip of the island is only five miles from the commercial harbour of Piombino on the Italian mainland. Elba’s enduring fame derives from the exile here from May 1814 to February 1815 of the defeated Napoleon Bonaparte. For the cruising yachtsman, the choice of accommodation lies between the busy harbours of Portoferraio, Porto Azzurro and Marciana Marina and the numerous smaller harbours and anchorages around the coast.

Embarking and disembarking in Portoferraio, and following the weather conditions, navigation Capraia between Corsica and the beautiful bays of the island of Elba. Elba, by extension, is the third largest Italian island and the largest one of the Tuscan Archipelago. Elba is connected by numerous daily ferries and hydrofoils, in an hour of navigation covering 10 kilometers of sea that separate it from the mainland. Its population is about 35,000 inhabitants, divided into eight municipalities, of which twelve thousand residents in Portoferraio , the island's capital.
